A reception will be held in their honor that1 evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fountain Green' Second LDS Ward, 151 South 200 West, Foun- -' tain Green. The bride is a graduate of North Sanpete High ' School where she was active in all sports. She' graduated from Snow College and Southern Utah ' University (SUU) in English. The bridegroom graduated from San Juan High1 School where he was active in football, basket-- ball, track and band. He served in the Korea ' Seoul LDS Mission and is now attending SUU! majoring in physical education. He is an assistant J football coach for the SUU Thunderbirds. They will make their home in Cedar City. AMPETE LOFE Hafens honored on sixty-fift- h wedding anniversary NEPHI-- - Mack F. and Merdith A. Hafen celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family party on June 29, 1996, at the Nephi City Park. The Hafens were married July 15, 1931, in the Manti LDS Temple Mack was bom in Mt. Pleasant on Aug. 10, 1910, and Merdith was bom in Fountain Green on April 26, 1913. They owned and operated a farm north of Mt. Pleasant. In 1955 they moved to Idaho and were farmers and worked for General Foods. She was a nurse at Mt. Pleasant Hospital. They both retired in 1975 and moved to Nephi in 1985 where they currently reside. They are the parents of Mrs. Gene (Shana) Stevens, Beaver Creek, OH; Mrs. Bryon (Marcia) Dansie, San Jose, CA; Mrs. Leo (Lou Ann) Osborne, Nephi; and Ed Mack Hafen, Melba, ID. Gene Openshaw announce their forthcoming marriage at 2 p.m., on July 24, 1996, at the brides home, 142 South 100 West, Ephraim. A reception and open house will be held in their honor following the wedding from 3 to 5 p.m. at the brides home. The bride is the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Caldwell. The bridegroom is the son of Keith Openshaw, Sandy, and the late LaVeme Openshaw. The couple will make their home in Ephraim MT. PLEASANT Myron and Loma Stewart will celebrate their Golden Wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m. at on Saturday, July 20, the Stewart residence 494 North 300 West, Mt. Pleasant. They were married July 4, 1946, in Rock Springs, WY, the marriage was solemnized the following December in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Myron served 35 years in various leadership positions in the Scouting program, and has been an active member of the LDS Church. A painter by occupation, at one time he painted several store fronts on Mt. Pleasants Main Street. Loma spent many years as an executive secretary. She worked in engineering for 10 years on the Apollo Space program. Allan will celebrate his 80th birthday at an open house hosted by his children on Saturday, July 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Fairview Senior Citizens Building, 59 East Center, Fairview. He was bom July 18, 1916, to Henry K. and Sarah Jane Barker Allan. He graduated from Spring-vill- e High School in 1935. He married Phebe Tanner on April 19, 1946. She died Dec. 30, 1981. He married LaRell Mitchell Rigby on November 18, 1982 He retired from Geneva Steel in 1975, after 30 years. Most of his adult life was spent in Orem and Mapleton. He has lived in Fair-vie- w for the last 18 years. He is the father of five children, Cindy Forsyth, Orem; Tim Allan, Draper; Gleneen Genther, Rexburg, ID; DeAndra Barrera, Spanish Fork; and Kurt R.
