PLEASAN- T- The North Sanpete Hawks start the season with a 0 record after beating the Manti Templars 0 and the Juab Wasps, both away games. Coach Weldon Wardle says he and his team are excited to get off to such a good start. "Were stressing positive attitude to the team and we can see its working for us, he said. He must be right as it is the first win for the Hawks against a strong Templar team in several years. Senior Eric Dyches led the teams scoring with 20 points, followed by Daniel Kjar with 14 PJ Steadman with ( 10 and Junior Ioane with 7. Nick Christensen and Matt Larson each scored 5 and Kim Bailey and Josh Gardiner each shot 2 points. 2-- 65-6- 70-6- 6, 1 Larson led with five steals followed by Kjar with 4, Dyches with 3 and Christensen, Stead man, Ioane and Jacobson with one apiece. Dyches had 13 rebounds, Gardiner had 7 and Larson and Steadman had 6. Kjar was 100 percent at the free throw line, 5 for 5, and Dyches made 10 of 13 for 77 percent. Dyches led in total rebounds with 13 followed by Gardiner with 7 and Larson and Steadman with 6 apiece. at the The Templars led 20-1- 1 end of the first quarter but the Hawks caught up to within a point at the half.
