Stress appears to day a major role in exacerbating adult acne by causing the release of hormones that stimulate the sebaceous glands Excess oil can lead to more exacerbations, which can increase anxiety and lock into a vicious cycle. Generally those who have darker complexions have greater oi production and scarring. Foods that contain iodides, such as shellfish, kelp, and iodized table salt, can make acne worse. Main, Mt. Pleasant 462-243- 4 Ephraim Chamber begins EPHRAI- M- This month, the Ephraim Chamber of Commerce will begin a new "shop at home" campaign to make local residents aware that they will save money by shopping at home. Chamber President Lynn Schiffman said, "without even figuring the cost of wear and tear on our cars and the price of gas, it is less expensive to shop at home." He cites his recent experience as an example. He says that while shopping at Sams Club a few weeks ago, he noticed a plastic molded lawn chair for sale at $10. That same chair could be purchased in at least two Ephraim stores for less (han six dollars. He thinks it is not unusual to find an advertised item in a Wasatch Front store that will sell for less, at everyday prices in Ephraim. In the past the shop at home activities have taken place during the Christmas season. Schiffman went on to say, "saving money is not a seasonal event. It should happen every day." shop-at-ho- Ephraims chamber has 60 members and is one of the most successful and active chambers of commerce in rural Utah. The chamber sponsors activities that help inform citizens, represents business with government agencies and encourages local commerce. This years chamber activities include "Meet the Candidate" me LESSONS Snow night in September, Back" "Welcome Colleges dance, member education, a member dictionary and coupon booklet, and various seasonal shopping promotions. Any citizen is welcome to join the chamber, whether or not they are merchants. Ephraim man joins writing staff MT.
