"We have so much potential. If we put our combined efforts to work for us, there is no limit to where we can go. We have built a solid base from which to work. Our efforts must be in a positive mode, striving ever forward and looking to the future." Ms. Ericksen was bom in Spring City, but grew up in Moroni where she attended school until consolidation in 1958. She graduated from North Sanpete High School and went on to receive an Associates of Arts Degree from Snow College. She obtained a degree in Medical Technology and Chemistry from Utah State University and completed a years internship at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland, CA. For the past 20 years, she has worked as a medical technologist in hospitals and private laborato- - lies in California, Florida and Ohio. She has taken graduate school classes at San Jose State and San Diego State in California, and at the University of Akron in Ohio. She returned to Utah from Akron in 1984 and was provided with an opportunity be with family and friends who helped her get back into life. A member of the LDS Church, she has been in the Primary and Young Womens presidencies and, for the past four years, has been stake administrator for the Family Record Extraction Program. According to Ericksen, "Several years ago, I found myself being critical of many things, most of which I could do nothing about; but of local government 1 could do something. I could get involved and be an active participant or I could continue to criticize, stand on the sidelines and do nothing. I chose to get involved.
