Kelson Lawrence Kelson He was born Oct. 30, 1900 in Ephraim, to Peter and Harriet Taylor Juste-soHe married Ruth Staley in Price, July 11, 1927. He was a farmer MORONI Memorial services were held March 21 at the Moroni First LDS Ward Chapel for Lawrence C. "Kels" Kelson, 84, who died March 16, 1992, at Parkview Community Hospital, Riverside, Ca., of pneumonia complications after a lingering illness. He was born Dec. 24, 1907, in Ephraim, to Claude and Pearl Thompson Kelson. His marriage to Myrtle Robinson was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was educated in Ephraim at Snow College. He received his degree with a certificate in vocational agriculture and farm mechanics at Utah State University (USAC). He taught school in Duchesne for a year before moving to Moroni in 1937. "Kels" taught vocational agriculfarm mechanics, ture, industrial arts, drafting and mathematics in Moroni and Mt. Pleasant for 36 years. He received numerous appreciation awards and honors including' The Sears and Roebuck Award for outstanding agriculture teacher in 1953, Master Teacher of Vocational Agriculture by the Utah Young Farmers Association, I960; Utah Poultry Man Of The Year, 1969, Outstanding Home. Victoria Rasmussen and member of the Ephraim First LDS Ward.
