Summit 1992 EPHRAI- M- North Sanpete held Manti for three quarters in the opening round of the annual Round Robin Tournament Thursday, but the Templars broke loose with four quick points in the fourth to stop the Hawks The win moved the Templars into the championship game with Juab on Friday, while the Hawks battled it out with South Summit Juab beat South and lost 3 Summit on Thursday. NS vs Manti The Hawks and Templars exchanged leads in the first quarter with the Hawks taking a 6 lead on a two pointer by Clair Canfield. Canfield put the Hawks up then Steve Olsen went to the line twice and hit all four to tie the third quarter at 39 all. North Sanpete had a clean sweep in Student Congress. Kelly Black took first place and best chair for the second year in a row. All four judges unanimously named him the outstanding legislator. The Templars will enter the state tournament as the regions second-plac- e team. Zac Nelson scored 23 points for the Trojans while Travis Thompson hit 13 for the Templars. Mark Nielsen was held to 12 points. 9 Gunnison clobbered Juab to move into the state tournae ment as the team. Nolan Anderson and Darren Higgins tossed in 19 points each to lead the Bulldogs in the upset over the Wasps. Gunnison won the coin toss with the Wildcats to e win the seed.
