A motion was passed to have the city hall exterior cleaned and the woodwork painted at a cost of $1,500. Mayor Gerald Hansen reported that the Fairview Ward Building is going to be remodeled. 2nd-3r- d The LDS Church has their own building inspector, and their code is more strict than the National Building Code, which Fairview City adheres to, so the citys building inspector would have little input into the remodeling project. Therefore, the council felt that the building inspection fee should be reduced. The fee was then set at $100. The city administrator Kent Miner reported that the FEMA funds for the 1983 flood have been received and returned to the perpetual Care fund. The 1983 account is now closed. A motion was passed requiring the contestants of the 1986 and future Demolition Derbies to sign an agreement to remove their demolition cars from the city after the derby. An agreement form will be provided for each contestant.
