Show Hawks crush Juab North Sanpete won its NEPHI first game of the season at the expense of the Juab Wasps in a battle here Friday night that was riddled with fouls on both teams. North Sanpete will be back home to host a wekend double header which will feature the Delta Rabbits on Friday and the South Sevier Rams Saturday night. Varsity tip off will be at 7:30 p.m. and junior varsity action will begin at 5:30 p.m. In last weeks action the Hawks h were able to hold off the effort by the pesky Wasps who narrowed the gap to three, 5 with just 14 seconds left to win the game 79-7- 5 proud for first win weekend when the Rabbits and Rams come to town. The public is invited and there is no charge. The concert will be presented by the concert band, vocal ensemble, string orchestra and quartet and a mixed chorus containing over 100 MT. Sgt. The varsity and freshmen won their first games of the season. The junior varsity team was defeated by the Wasps Friday, December 20, the Hawks will take on Delta, and on Saturday, December 21, they will match skills with South Sevier. Both of these games will take place at NS Thursday, December 19, the Lady Hawks and the Hawks wrestling team will host Gunnison. This week is Friendship Week at North Sanpete, and the students are encouraged to contribute someting towards the program Sub-fo- r Santa weekend in Mt. Pleasant. PLEASANT Hawk grappler Daren Walker brought home a class at championship in the 138-ltournament held at the Viewmont High School. Walker was the only wrestler to place in the meet which was won by Morgan High School, but other wrestlers getting wins during the two-daevent were Steve Anderson, Jason Slack, Brandon Mellor, Vic Anderson and Brian Thorne. Thursday night in Nephi the Hawk 6 to the Juab grapplers fell Wasps. Getting pins for North Sanpete were Jason Slack, Steve Slack; and Vic Anderson. Getting decisions were Ross Livingston and Mike Colebrook. Daren Walker wrestled Trent Harmon to a draw. The Hawks will host Gunnison here Thursday night with varsity action getting underway at 7:30 p.m,.
