Marvin and Verla were married Oct. 23, 1935 in Manti. The marriage was solemnized Dec. 18, 1941, in the Manti LDS Temple. They have lived all their married life in Mountainville, north of Mt. Pleasant. MT PLEASANT An open house from 3 to 5 p m. Saturday, Oct. 26, will honor Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Coates on their 50th wedding anniversary Family Living Foods , Weddings, Anniversaries A farmer, Marvin raises sheep and livestock. He has worked for L. L. Peterson for 41 years. A collector of purple bottles and arrowheads, Mr. Coates plans to have his arrowhead collection on display at the open house. Extension service to sponsor fall workshop Fall workshops will be held Nov. 2, at the Sanpete County Courthouse, upper floor at 2 p m. Speakers will be Dr. Tom Lee, Utah State University Family Life Specialist and Becky Mitchell from the state office, Utah State University A special feature of the workshop will be the Festival of Trees a display of articles Preview, donated from Sanpete, Emery and Sevier Counties. It will be held the same day from 1 to 4:30 in the commissioners room of the courthouse. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited to attend, there is no charge. Moroni seniors plan bazaar The Senior Citizens MORONI will hold their annual bazaar and supper on Friday, Oct. 25, beginning Fountain Green Spending the weekend with her parents were Neil Ray and Patricia Draper, was their daughter Jerrie, her husband, Chris Hansen, and their two sons of Taylorsville! Spending the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Elwood (Ruth) Coombs, were their daughter, Norma Heifer from Heber City and Mr. and Mrs. Audie (Terri) Zufelt of Springville. mgville. at p.m. at the Senior Citizen 5 Center. Supper will be served including Chili, Chicken Dumpling Soup, Homemade Bread, and Pie Alamode. A quilt will be raffled off and tickets may be purchased from Senior Citizen board members. Food and North Bend Camp meets At its last DUP FAIRVIEW meeting members of the North Bend Camp enjoyed viewing relics shown by Kristy Jensen and Helen Bohne displayed some old pots. A history of her ancestors was read by Dorothy Hall and Peggy Mower gave the lesson. The next meeting will be on Nov. 4. of Geneva Christiansen, Wednesday Oct. 16, were Ada Collard, Merline Morgan and Ida Oldroyd. These ladies have been friends for many years. Annual Christmas Bazaar Ernest Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bailey, spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with his grandmother, Hazel Bailey. Ernest is a freshman student at the Brigham Young University. SOCIAL: Anthony Willey celebrated his first birthday on Sept. 25. He is (lie son of Denise and Donnel J. Willey of Payson. Mrs. Willey taught the orchestra program in North Sanpete schools for four years and is presently teaching Ihe strings program in Payson. Mr. Willey owns and operates an Kalian restaurant in Provo.
