| Show ROBERT D OBERT FORRESTER PRESENTS HIS FOSSILS TO THE university OF UTAH robert forrester mining expert and geologist for the utah fuel company and denver and Rio Grandc Grande has given to the geology museum of the university his collection of fossils forrester has also accepted the position of honorary curator of the geology museum the forrester collection of fossils is one of the largest and most complete in this part of the country he has collected them during eight years of field wei icik k in southeastern utah the fossils range in ago age from those of the most recent formations down to the carboniferous forrester will also add to the co collection I 1 from time to time as he accumulates um blates more fossil in his field work with a staff of assistants he is installing the collection in the pal aco na 51 logical section of the geology museum in the museum building each fich F ich fossil is labeled and grouped then placed in a glas glass covered case speaking of the gift dr pack who was nas instrumental in securing it for the university and who prevailed upon forrester to accept the position of honorary curator said For resters gift comes to the department part ment as one of the most valuable in bears ears he has perhaps done more work than any other man i in southeastern utah and his fossil collection is the best in existence from that section of the country |
