PLEASANT-Nort- Sanpete wrapped h up a great football season, Friday night with a 44-- 8 win over Manti and will travel to the state quarterfinals for the first time in 12 years. The Hawks will meet Region Nine Champions, the Morgan Trojans, who have been rated number one in state prep polls on at least one occasion this season. Kick off time on the Morgan grid is 2 p.m. The Trojans pulled out battle over a close Union to end the season undefeated while the Hawks breezed by Manti to end league play with a season record. The effort caps one of the best seasons in Hawk 15-1- 3 history and is a tribute to Head Coach Paul Tidwell who is in his first year at North Sanpete. However, Coach Tidwell is quick to give a lot of credit to assistant coaches Brent Thorne, Bruce Irons and John Ericksen and all others who have added skill and spirit to the Hawk efforts.
