Show T L, OCTOBER 21, 1986 Celebrates his 90th t William Richard Perkins of 1458 N. 750 E., Kaysville, will be honored for his 90th birthday with an open house. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 7 p.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Chapel, 1039 E. Crestwood Road. A native of Kaysville, he was born Oct. 28, 1896, a son of Fredrick Richard and Rose Ann Burton Perkins. He married Mamie Coombs on Sept. 13, 1916in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died June 21, 1981. He married Edith Baungart on Nov. 25, 1981 in Kaysville. He worked 46 years for the Layton Sugar Company, retiring in Ogden Scenes, an exhibit of vorks by Kaysville artist LeConte ilewart, will be on display at the Art iountiful-Davi- s Center hrough Nov. 7. 4-- A missionary farewell for Tracy Lynn N ielson, who has been called to serve in the Japan Okayami Mission for the LDS Church, will be held this Sunday at 3: 15 p.m. in the Kaysville 4th Ward, 875 E. 200 N. Tracy, the daughter of Melvin A. and Gloria C. Nielson, 680 Oak Lane in Kaysville, is a graduate of Davis High School and has earned an Associates Degree from Weber State. She plans on pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education upon her return. She will enter the MTC in Provo on Oct. 29. An open house for family and friends will be held at her parent's home following the Sacrament meeting this Sunday. LeConte Stewart art on display The Centers 12th Annual LeConte Stewart Festival features a survey of works by Stewart of scenes in the Ogden area, including many works created during his years as head of the Ogden High School Art Department ( 1 923-1938- ). Highlights of the show are three large murals painted during this period: two depicting scenes from Shakespearean plays originally commissioned for the Shakespeare Room of the Ben Lomond Hotel in Ogden; and one of the majestic Mt. Ben Lomond. The murals have a colorful history, having been lost and subsequently rediscovered by a group of art scholars. The story has been put into print by Anton J. Rasmussen, former director of the Art Center, and is available to the public for a nominal donation. He has been active in the LDS Church throughout his life, holding many stake and ward positions, one of which was serving a two-yea- r stake mission. He is active in the High Priest group. Robbins, son of Jack and Darlene Robbins, has been called to serve in the Alabama Birmingham Mission. Prior to his Nov. 5th departure for the Missionary Training Center, Elder Robbins will speak at the Kaysville 10th Ward Sacrament meeting on d Oct. 26 at 5:15 p.m., at the Crestwood 1039 Chapel, Rd., Kaysville. Elder Robbins is a 1986 graduate of Davis High School and LDS Seminary. He is an Eagle Scout and lettered in track and field. Friends and relatives are invited to meet with the missionary after the meeting from 6:30-- 9 p.m. at his home, 940 E. Kingswood Road, Crest-woo- Kaysville. The couple was married Friday, Sept. 26 in the Manti LDS Temple. The couple was honored at a reception that evening in the Compton Bench LDS Church, Farmington. He works for Boman & Kemp in Ogden and runs a fruit farm in Willard. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for 26 years retiring in 1975. She is an active member of the LDS Church and has served in the YWMIA, Primary, and is now serving as a Relief Society Visiting Teacher and Relief Society supervisor. She has also been an Ogden Temple worker. She loves gardening and as a hobby raises a beautiful rose garden. Her most joyous times are when she is surrounded by her family.
