Show aot) obituary D. Sanlos Gumecinda T. Solis lived in Layton for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. SURVIVING are nine sons and seven daughters, Ruben Solis, David Solis, Jesus Solis, Roberto Solis, Alfred Solis, Ricardo Solis, all of Layton; Leon Solis Jr., Ramiro Solis and Jose Luis Solis, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Theo- dore (Emilia) Banda, Phoenix, Ariz.; Elida Solis, Mrs. Abel (Maria) Balderama, Mrs. San (Juana) Hinojosa, Gloria Solis and Maria Elena Solis, all of Layton; Mrs. Joe (Maria) Alaniz, Salt Lake City; 40 grandchildren and 27 Gumecinda Torres Solis, 65, of 488 Sherwood, Layton, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1985 at the Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of heart failure. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Domingo Torres, Idaho Falls, Ida. ; Carmelo Torres, Burley, Ida.; Jose Torres, Hereford, Tex.; Maria Trevino, McAllen, Texas; Isabel Ochoa, Burley, Ida.; Jesusa Torres, Washington. Mercedes, Texas a daughter of Quirino and Guadalupe Gonzales Torres. She married Leon H. Solis Aug. 18, 1934 in Seguin, Texas. He died Sept. 28, 1978. MASS OF the Resurrection was Friday at the Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Holy Rosary was Thursday at Lindquists Clearfield Mortuary. Interment was in the Clearfield City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ramio Solis, SHE WAS reared in Texas and lived in Texas for 50 years. She had David Solis, Leon Solis Jr. and Alfredo Solis. SHE WAS born Jan. 13, 1920 in Ricardo Solis, Roberto Solis, Alverta Neal McGinley Runyan. She married John Wade Neal May 20, 1939 in Sheridan, Wyo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. SHE HAD lived in Utah since and was a member of the LDS 1944 Church. Surviving are her husband of Clearfield, and one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Marguerite) Judy, Carey wood, Ida.; three grandchildren and one officiating. Robert W. Speirs; speakers. Pres. Foster R. Gentile, died Wednesday, Dec. 4. 1985 at the home of a son in Phoenix of complications following a stroke she suffered a year ago. Funeral services were held Dec. for Edward Henry Larsen who died Dec. 3, 1985. Bishop Thomas M. Bassett officiated at services 7 held at Lindquists Clearfield Chapel. She had lived in Ogden for 22 years and in Layton more than 50 years. She had spent the last year in Phoenix because of an illness. Staff Sgt. Daniel R. Santos, son of retired Chief Master Sgt. David and Lucia Santos of 1101 W. 525 N., Clearfield, has graduated from the Air Force officer leadership school at Hill Air Force Base. THE SERGEANT studied techniques of leadership, management and supervision. Friedel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Friedel of Clearfield, has graduated from the U.S. Air Force aircrew egress systems mechanic course at Chanute Air Force Base, 111. DURING THE course, students were taught to repair and maintain emergency ejection systems in an aircraft. They also earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Mr. Friedel is scheduled to serve with the 8th Component Repair Squadron in South Korea.
