Show DAVIS REFLEX JOURNAL, AUGUST 28, 1985 Silver age events KAYSVILLE - The Silver Age would like to take this opportunity to thank some very kind and thoughtful people in the community for making the Davis County Fair picnic so enjoyable. The following merchants donated beautiful plants and flowers to decorate the tables that were later given away as door prizes to the Senior Citizens: Stokers Nursery, Syracuse; The Outlet, Kaysville;The Pine Ridge Nursery, Fruit Heights; Greg's Garden Center, Kaysville; Flint Floral, Kaysville; J&J Nursery. Layton; and the Dandelion Cottage, Kaysville. We appreciate your kindness and generosity. -- r THE SILVER Age Senior Citizens won many blue ribbons at the Davis County Fair this year. In the Home Arts Division, Blue ribbons went .to Ed Ritter, Wanda Ritter, Leah Linford, Una Peterson, Pearl Woodward, Jim Butler, Ruth Gale, Jeanne Healey, Daisy Barker, Ed Healey, Shirley Wittmann, Edna Layton, Susie Van Horn, Vernice Hildebrandt and Ernie Hildebrand, all of Kaysville. Also, Esther Clay, Fruit Heights and Roland Wykoff, Phyllis Zimmer, Viola Anderson and Laura Edgar, all of Layton. In the Art division, Ruth Gale and Shirley Wittmann of Kaysville received blue ribbons and Phyllis Zimmer of Layton and Esther Clay of Fruit Heights. In the Crafts division blue ribbons went to Jenny Cragun, Ruth Gale, Dora Woodward, Shirley Wittmann, Susie Van Horn, Ernie Hildebrandt and Vernice Hildebrandt, all of Kaysville and Phyllis Zimmer of Layton.
