Show DAVIS REFLEX JOURNAL MAY 15, 1985 Layton Utah North Stake Created LDS - i LAYTON On Sunday, May 5, a new LDS Stake was created in Layton through the division of the Layton Utah East Stake. This means there are now five LDS Stakes in Layton. THE NEW stake will be called the Layton Utah North Stake. It will include the wards in Country Oaks, Oak Forest and East of U.S. 89, the Layton 14th, 20th, 27th, 29th and 4th wards. Called to serve as the Layton Utah North Stake Presidency were L. Winslow Hurst, Jr. as president TRYING FOR RELIABILITY and Gene Hymas and Steven Bailey as counselors. Striving to build trust through reliable service has been one of the aims for Carl and Rodger Dennis, over the years. By NORMA PREF.CE KAYSVILLE - June. Kaysville being an attractive community, with excellent school system and congenial and friendly people were impressive to them. AT THAT time Harold Egginton had operated a service station for many years at the corner of Main Street and 200 North and was looking for someone to take over. Carl and Rodger arrived at the appropriate time to start their business in this area. Hard work and dedication to the citizens have brought them must satisfaction in their career. Both are quiet, sincere and dedicated to their work, having established a splendid reputation with quality and two children Craig and Reesha. Carl and his wife, the former Ida Nay of Circle ville, are pleased they moved to Davis County and especially to Kaysville. CARL WAS born and reared in Marysvale. In addition to farming, he also worked in the Alminite and Gold Mines in that area for a short time, also drove a mail truck for eight years in Richfield. He always enjoyed auto mechanics and was interested in running a service station and garage. The new building will be located on the east end of Antelope Drive near the Oak Forest subdivision. Students from schools in six districts, including Davis, took part. The company sponsors the annual contest in area schools to encourage interest in innovative ways to produce enerly or use it wiseh. MONEY raised by the CCW will go towards supporting several charitable programs including the St. Anns shelter, the Outreach program, the Santa Aid and others.
