West has Final Session Of Ski School To Start Feb. 9th The final session of Davis Countys annual Ski School will begin Feb. 9. However, deadline for registration will be Saturday, Feb. 2, according to Russell Whitaker, ski school director. HE SAID this k session is usually the least crowded of the three sessions offered each year and is an excellent opportunity for a beginner to take lessons. Registration will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Bountiful Mall (Village Sports Den); Clearfield Swim Pool, 934 S. 1000 E., Clearfield; Farmington City Office, 100 North Main, Farmington; and at the Johnson residence, 5539 S. 2200 West, Roy. five-wee- THERE WILL be three price packages available for the k session that begins Feb. 9 and continues through March 9. All sessions will be held on Saturdays at Snow Basin and Alta ski resorts. Package No, will include five lessons and bus transportation for a cost of $56 at either resort. Package No. 2 includes five lessons only , and you must furnish your own transportation. This package costs $27. Package No. 3 is for transportation only and costs $41. five-wee- 1 THESE costs do not include lift passes which vary from $8 to $12 per day. Classes will be limited in size to 12 students. Age limit is 10 years through adult. Pickup stations are located throughout the county and buses will depart at 7:30 a.m. and return approximately 4:30 p.m. SNOW BASIN pickup stations will be at Bountiful Junior High, Centerville Junior High, Farmington School District Office, Kaysville Junior High, Layton High, Clearfield High and at Smith's Food King in Roy, 5600 S. 1900 W. Alta students will load at Bountiful Junior High, Bountiful High, and South Davis Junior High. North Davis students wanting to attend Alta must provide their own transportation to one of the Bountiful pickup points, Mr. Whitaker explained. Lloyd, Meier Turn Out Rands Lights By KEITH DUNCAN Journal Sports KAYSVILLE - Beware Region Four, if kids like Casey Lloyd or Brent Meier reach a peak point of confidence in the opening minutes -- of a basketball game, you're as good as dead. SUCH confidence was so shiny last Friday night at the Sam Morgan fieldhouse that it nearly blinded those that witnessed it. Lloyd, who hadn't played so well the week before at Bountiful, combined with Meier for 34 points (17 points apiece) as the Darts blew away a good Highland team, What a win. Now Davis stands in league and will travel to 1 Viewmont High this Friday night 70-6- 2-- for an game against the undefeated Vikings DAVIS exploited a solid defense Friday against the Rams, enough that it had the Salt Lake team totally out of place.
