Taking her place among the December brides is the former Miss given by Rebecca Sutton, Shirley Peterson, Teri Hedrick and Becky parties were PRENUPTIAL Jeanette Hall who exchanged nuptial promises with Troy Cox in ceremonies Dec. 15 in the Jordan River 1T)S Temple. Elder Morris Row ley officiated at the ceremony. 1 UK BRIDE is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Hall of Sterling. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Boyd R. Cox of Kaysville. The couple was honored at a wedding luncheon at the Warm Creek Ranch House in Gunnison, hosted by the bridegroom's pa Orton. The bride graduated from Manti High School and LDS Seminary. She is a student at Mary Kawakami College of Beauty in Provo and w ill graduate in February. THE BRIDEGROOM graduated from Davis High School and is presently attending Brigham Young University in Provo. He served an East MisLDS England-Londo- n sion. BROOKE TYREL NAYLOR MONTE PILKINGTON Ran-nell- Mark L. Johnson has been prom- Happy Birthday- I.. Pilkinglon Lewis L. (Monte) Pilkington of E.. Kaysville, observed his 93rd birthday anniversary on Tuesday. Jan. 15 at his home with friends and relatives. MR. PILKINGTON stays active, doing his household chores and attending his church meetings regulatly. He has one livirg brother in Kaysville. Dean Pilkington, who stops by each day along with his many neighbors w ho also watch after him and assist him with errands and other needs. MR. PILKINGTON was born Jan. 15. 1892 in Smithfield. He attended Cache County Schools and later attended Utah State University. He served an LDS mission to Australia from 1924-2HE MARRIED Genevieve Frank on Sept. 15. 1920 in the Logan LDS Temple. She died April 9, 1978. Mr. Pilkington was employed at Hill Air Force Base six years and later w ith the Dav is County School District for 25 years. He was a carpenter. A MEMBER of the LDS Church, he served in many leadership positions throughout the years. He served as first counselor in the bishopric, superintendent of the Sunday School, member of the High Council and many others. He has been a temple ordinance worker and a genealogical worker. He has kept a neat and tidy yard and home and loves people. He is a friend to all and his life has been 133 S. .300 devoted to helping others and donating his time and work to many who needed help or assistance. MONTE as he is known, stays busy both winter and summer. He works continually on his journal and writing family histor- Writers League To Meet Beginning the new year, the Kays Creek Writers League will be meeting on Thursday night at the Silver Age Center in Kaysville for their monthly meeting. NEW OFFICERS to serve the 1985 year are Mrs. Bea Johnson, president; Mrs. Ann Marcusen, president elect and Mrs. Marjorie They will be working on articles, poems, short stories, histories, novels, etc. ANYONE interested in writing and joining the league is to contact Mrs. Johnson or officer or member. New members are welcome, np ies. He is willing to share his time and the things he has accomplished with his many nieces and nephews. The past winter he spent many hours before Christmas in his wood shop, designing and making small sleighs which he painted. Then they were filled with Christmas decorations as center pieces or filled with goodies to be given to his neighbors and friends. HE HAS many hobbies and does not find time to be idle. He feels the secret to a long life filled with happiness is to have a good attitude and stay busy, np oted to operations officer at the - Kaysville office of First Security Bank of Utah, N.A., according to an announcement by Ernest R. Little, manager of that office. HE ATTENDED Weber State College and joined First Securitys bookkeeping department in 1978. He recently completed the management trainee program. He and his wife, Gayle, have three children. Congratulations go out to two north county youngsters this week, upon achieving their first birthday: Brooke Tyrel Naylor, daughter of Gary and I.yn Naylor of Farmington, who celebrated that big event Nov. 29. A recent first birthday was also celebrated by Kari Lynn Yurth, daughter of Larry and Marsha Yurth of 1451 N. 1850 W. in Layton, whose birthday was Jan. 10. Observes 93rd .
