SHE HAD worked as secretary to the engineering department at the U.S. Navy Base in Clearfield; secretary to Leo J. Muir, Writing History of Mormons in Southern California, secretary to Dean of Medicine at the University of Southern California and secretary to Paul H. Dunn Institute of Religion. She was involved in many civic and charitable organizations. Lela Layton Hess, 81, of 638 Compton Road, died Tuesday, No. 13, 1984 at Holy Cross Hospital of respiratory failure. MRS. MOON was born Dec. , a daughter of David (Lee) and Nellie Adams 1 Sanders. She married Wallace L. Moon, Dec. 5, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. SHE HAD lived in Fielding for 10 years, Kaysville for 15 years, Los Angeles, Calif, for 34 years and in Kaysville the past six years. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the YWMIA presidency, of the Kaysville Stake. After moving to Los Angeles, she served as counselor in Relief Society; Sunday School Evans, Brent G. Layton, Doug Barnes, Marc Woolley. Flowers were cared for by the Farmington 1st Ward Relief Society. Matthew William Evans, the son of Tony and Holly Anne OLeary Evans of 443 N. Fairfield, Layton, died Monday, Nov. 12, 1984 in the Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City. FUNERAL services were held Wednesday. Nov. 14, in the Lindquist Layton Mortuary Chapel. Speaker and prayer was by David Davis. Roselyn Christensen played prelude and postlude music. Dedication of the grave was by Wilson Wheeler with interment and Nicki OLeary, Bountiful: James and LaRay Burgess, Layton; his Theodoropoulos and Evanthia Katsipodes Jones. She married John G. Vilos on Sept. 15, 1940 in Ogden. He died July 5, 1971. SHE WAS owner of the Sunset Cafe. She had lived in Ogden until she was 1 8 years old and then moved to McGill, Nev. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam Campaign. HE HAD worked for W. R. White Pipe Co. and Marveon Sign Co.
