Dwight ment Book. hese books are written about the projects that the chapter runs during the year and represent many hours of planning and hard work. The chapter was also awarded the right to host Model Legislature, a state Jaycee program which teaches Jaycees about the legislative process. It will be conducted Nov. 10 at the Utah State Captiol Building. Jaycees from throughout the state will act as legislatures, submitting bills, debating their merits, and finally voting on them. The Kaysville Jaycees were honored with the Don Tavalli Memorial Award for their uly 4th activities. The award was 1 ly presented at the Utah Jaycee con- tention held this year in Wendov-ir- , This award is Utah, May jiven each year to the local chapter with the most outstanding project for the past year. 18-2- 0. THE AWARD was given this year in recognition of the work that the Kaysville Jaycees put into the 4th of July which included the morning breakfast, the parade, a float, afternoon and evening activities, and the fireworks. The same projects' are planned for this year. The Kaysville Jaycees and Jaycee Women were presented with other prestigious awards at the convention. Marilyn Koroulis was honored as the Utah Jaycee Woman of the Year. Her husband, Brady, was honored with Passing lycees On in recognition for his 'ork to the organization. The bid for this project was presented by Steve Humphrey, current Jaycees president. The Jaycees have just completed an excellent year and are moving into another. A primary goal they are working on now is to increase their membership prior to the 4th of July. To do this, they need your help. They seek membership from the 22 to 40 men from Layton, Kaysville, Fruit Heights and Farmington areas who are between the ages of 1 8 and 36 are eligible to join . ssays.
