Grubb is a repeater fromlast year’s team,as are Lorrie Fair of Los Altos, Cali and Lakeysia Beene ofFair Oaks,Calif. Thirty-six players representing 19 states were named to the squad. California leads Missouri has four. They were U.S. Soccer Federation,the National Soccer Coaches Association and other soccer organizations. To be eligible for our team,a girl must play soccer for her high schoolor a club. Bree Edwards and Megan Boehm played for clubsas seniors. Boehmalso played for clubs as a sophomore and junior. Manygirls on ourroster play Jennifer Grubb graduated in January and the U.S. Olympic team.“Jennifer's admittanceto the women’s Olympic team came as no surprise, due to the dedication andsacrifice she's endured,” said her coach, Tim Kirby.In high school, Grubb had 22 goals and 39 assists. (She missed half of her junicr year with an injury and will miss this season, having graduated early.) In her freshman and sophomore ye had 17goals and 12 assists.
