Show Topple Templars Bowling By Tom Bruton North Sanpetes Hawks, on their own familiar turf, soared over the Manti Tempters with a 13-- 0 win at Friday nights homecoming tilt Under the able quarter backing of John McKay, the Hawks were put in position for Ted Seely to make an eight-yar- d d sweep for the first TD, and a charge for the second TD in the fourth quarter. McKay made the extra point kick for the first TD, but the second one was blocked by Manti's defense. In the first quarter the Hawks controlled the ball for practically the entire quarter. Elwood Eddy and Ted Seely worked the ball steadily up the gridiron and had reached to within eleven yards of the goal when the first quarter ended. With the second play into the second quarter, Ted Seely made the scoring sweep. This drive was set up after Donald Seely had intercepted a Manti pass. Later in the evening, Donald was to intercept two more passes. The rest of the second quarter mainly shuffled the ball back and forth between the teams and the gun sounded with North Sanpete ahead Mantis Templers came alive in the third quarter and attempted to make a scoring drive, but the Hawk defense shut the drive, down and the third quarter ended with neither team scoring. The fourth quarter produced hard fought bail playing by both teams. Ted Seely scored his second touchdown of the game 1 team which brought the score to 13-This quarter also demonstrated the Hawk's strong defense with two interceptions caught by Clark Jorgenson and one caught by Donald Seely, also North Sanpete jarred the ball loose rifle drawing The North Sanpete Future Farmers of America Chapter will be sponsoring a deer rifle drawing during October with d proceed going towards projects.
