Downard schedule meet at reception following marriage North Sanpete area Senior Citizens will meet next Wednesday night at six oclock and will enjoy a potluck dinner and program. In charge of the May 7 is Elva Hamilton of Fairview who has a very entertaining program planned. Mr. and Mrs. Ja'rmts D. Harward of Chester announce the marriage of their daughter, Paul J. and Cassandra Downard. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. . Hugh Downard of Spring City. The couple were married April 18 in the home of the brides parents. The ceremony was performed by Bp. Earl W. Sorensen. The newlyweds were honored at a luncheon following the marriage given by the grooms parents. That evening the couple were further honored with a reception in the Chester Ward Cultural Hall hosted by the parents of the bride. Goodwin announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter , Denise Kaye to Michael Boyd Nielsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd K. Nielsen Saturday, May 3, 1975 in the Manti LDS Temple. Kaye graduated from Manti High School and Snow College. She is presently employed for Louis Tervort, attorney-at-lain Manti. Michael graduated from North Sanpete High School and Snow College. He served a mission in Peru and Ecquador. Mrs. Beesley announce the marriage ol their Indian daughter, Miss Theresa Wilson and Mr. Phillip Summers, who were married in the Manti L.DS Temple Friday April 18, 1975. President Daniels performed the ceremony. After the marriage Mr. and Mrs. Beesley honored the newlyweds at a wedding breakfast in the Temple. Family members who witnessed the marriage, and were guests at the breakfast were the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jones Wilson, and Theresas sister. Miss Wilson, from New Mexico; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beesley, Ftn. Green; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beesley; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Beesley. Salt Lake City, and of course guests of honor, the new Mr. and Mrs. Summers. On Saturday evening, April 19, a reception in honor of the bride and groom was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Beesley in Salt Lake City. Theresa has lived with the Beesleys in Salt Lake for eight years. She is a Navajo Indian, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jones Wilson of Toadlena, with a PERSONAL TOUCH! WATCHES, and is majoring in elementary education. At the University she Mr. Phillips Summers, and Iroquois from Depere, Wisconsin. lie is studying socialogy at the BYU. Mrs. Scott Cook attended the funeral service in Mt. Pleasant, April 19, for Mr. Soren M. Nielsen. Mr. Nielsen's son, Grant Nielsen, was the bishop of the Meeker Ward when Scott and Euleda lived there. Mr. Joseph It. Christiansen attended the funeral service for Soren M. Nielson. We extend our.sympathy to the family of Cleo Johnson in the loss of their mother grandmother. Mrs. Johnson has been a resident of our city, active in Church and Civic She loved her family, and during the last few years, visited with them often. To Theora Anderson, and her family, we extend our sympathy in the loss of her brother, Wesley Christensen, of Moroni. Mr. Urban S. Madsen, his daughter, Uvonne M. Price, and her little son, Richard from the funeral Ogden, attended service of Cleo Johnson, and also visited with friends while here. It is always good to see our residents when they come home. Mr. Roy Anderson has returned home from Nevada, where he has psnet the winter months (oct. to April) in Moapa Valley, at Overton. After returning home, he visited with his sisters, brother, and their families in Twin Falls, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy (Ivy N. Seager visited with relatives and friends here during the week. They were going to Provo to attend a class reunion at the BYU. Ivy was excited about it, and thrilled to get to see many of her classmates, this being the 50th Class reunion for that particular class. Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Kearns, visited with Vera to Johnson Thursday Saturday. Vera Johnson has returned home to spend the summer after having spent the winter in McGill, Nevada with Mr. and Mrs. Trent Johnson, in Sandy with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart (Cherrill) Carlson; with Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Kearns, and with her sister. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron (Rintha) Walker in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Carlson ) great grandmother organized. Those named to fill elected offices were Laurie Seely, I la Jensen, Thelma Tuttle, Dora Verda Seeley, Jane Morley, resident of Salt Lake City. Miss Ericksen has been a leader in the area of home economics since her graduation from the University of Utah (BS) and New York University (MS). She served both as a high school and a college teacher before becoming the Specialist in Consumer and Homemaking Education for the State of Utah Thomas, Geraldine Johnson, Alasea Davis, Ethel Wheeler and Venice Anderson. Awards were presented by Thelma Tuttle w ith the Fountain Green Camp named number one for having the most new registered members. Spring honors for the most members in attendance; Ida Donaldson of Moroni received the award for the youngest registered members; Taluella Nelson of Mt. Pleasant was the oldest member. President Donna Peterson, Sterling, of the South Sanpete unit discussed several items of business and also played a piano received City in 1945. Miss Ericksen has contributed to home economics and general education magazines. Her activities in professional organizations have been on the state, national, and international levels. She has been official delegate from the United States at three international meetings, where she served as a discussion leader. In 1973 she represented American Home Economics Association with 14 others in a special tour of four African countries. This tour was jointly sponsored by the U.S. State Department, UNFAO, and American Home Economics Association. Miss Ericksen has also been a member of the board for the articles solo. Spring City's Canal Camp were hostesses for the affair and served a lovely turkey dinner with Elva Allred as chairman. A warm welcome is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Shradeja who have just moved back to town.
