GREEN JESSIE OLDROYD 445-342- The Fourth Annual Sale of Polled Herefords promises to be an outstanding event with 1974 State Fair class winners and some outstanding individuals from last years All Breed Bull Test in Centerville, Utah as some of the animals consigned to this event. The breeders have greatly improved their herds by purchase of National Herd Sires and with Artificial Insemination by sires. These improven provements will be reflected in the sale. Bulls are from 18 to 36 months and heifers 7 to 30 months of age. The largest bull weighs 1900 pounds. Several heifers are 2 i A baby boy was given his name and blessing in Sacrament Meeting Sunday, March 2. He was given the name of Jason William Jacobson by his daddy, Warren Jacobson, who was assisted by Darrell Jacobson, Louis Cook, and Wendell Jacobson. Warrens mother, Mrs. Ruth Jacobson, his three sisters; Mary, Colleen and Carol (twins), his brother, Prince Jacobson, and of course brother Darrell, were all to Church for this lovely event. After Church, the family were all dinner guests at the Jacobson home. Gary and Carol LeFevre and little daughter spent the week end with her parents. Darrell and Ethel Williams, and also attended Church service here. Miss Delanie Harper, sister of Mrs. Steven (candy) Olsen, spent thr week end here with the Olsens, enjoying her twin nephews, and also attended Church with us. Miss Harper is from Twin Falls, Idaho, and is presently attending the BYU. Twins! They are right in style in the Beesley family. Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Beesley are happy and proud to announce the birth of the third set of twins, grandborn son and Jan. 24, 1975, to Mr. and Mrs. Scott (Mary Alice) Beesley of Sandy. The babies were born in the LDS Hospital, and weighed grand-daughte- in at 5 r, lb. 6 oz., 6 lb. 13 oz. They are to be named Jessie and Jared. These two babies make nine children for Scott and Mary Alice. The other grandparents of these babies are Mr. and Mrs. Franklin (Margaret Masters) Smith of Midway. Mr. and Mrs. Beesley visited with their son, daughter-in-laand family for a few days. They were anxious to get acquainted with the new little one. Mr. and Mrs. John H. (Mary) Aagard are happy to announce the birth of their 17th grandchild a baby boy borb Feb. 10, 1975, to Mr. and Mrs. Lee (Janece) Labrum. The little fellow was bom at 6 p.m. in the Hoag Memorial Hospital in Costa Mesa, Calif. He weighed in at 9 lb. 4 oz. Janece and Lee have one other child, Jason age 2. Other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. George (Velva) Labrum of St. and two greatGeorge, grandmothers, Mrs. Harry Fox, Helper, Utah; Mrs. Ivo Stewart, Meadow, Utah. Grandmother Mary left immediately for Calif., to give her expert help, and meet her new grandson. Our congratulations to these folks. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Draper visited during the week with their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph ( Lois) F ossat, in Price. Lovely weather for their trip. Michael Mr. and Mrs. (Elizabeth) Ward came home on Friday to celebrate two birthdays, Elizabeths and her fathers, Dee Hansen. The dinner party was held Saturday, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Hansen in Spring City. Happy Birthday to Dee and Elizabeth! Visitors at the Hansen home on Friday were Marys mother, and sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Butler and Pauline Barnett, both of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Loucile) Gibby, Roy. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Coombs, Honeyville, visited during the week with his brother and sister-in-laAlvin and LaVon Coombs. This is the first these folks have been here for over fifteen years, we hope they come more often. Mr. and Mrs. Van (Audrey) Livingston visited with relatives here, also attended the funeral for Kay Livingston. The program, Americana 1975, presented by the .Music Dept, under the direction of J.S. Christensen, was an excellent one, well worth everyones time to go to it. It was well prepared, choice music, wonderful theme. Last Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Christensen entertained the Funsters, Bill and Barbara Beesley, Ray and Thelda Jackson. The group were served a delicious chicken dinner. Then there were games and prizes for all. The decorations were in keeping with Valentine. A happy time when family members get together, and when better than a sp. e day Sunday, for the Rasmussens, who were guests of John and ng-lik- Camille bred. Betty Cook and her derwent open-hea- surgery rt Monday, Feb. 24, at the St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake. As of today, he is doing well, and feeling better. Our get Well wishes to you, Aden. Mr. and Mrs. Don Larsen had their son Carl and his family home to visit with them for twenty days. On the 27th of Feb. they left to go to Wasso Mich, to spend ten days with relatives there. Carl was released from Fort Carson, Colorado early in February and he is to report to South Carolina, after his thirty day leave is up, for a three year assignment in Germany. His family will join him (here as soon as he is able to find a place for them to live. Carl reinlisted in the Service a few months ago. On Feb. 28th there was a birthday dinner given by Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Brown, Chester, for their little son Enochs first birthday. His grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Rosier and his uncle David and Aunt Laurie of Moroni were there to help him celebrate. Mr. and Mrs. Devere Harward went to Provo Sunday to see Deveres father James A. Harward, Orem, who is in the hospital. He entered the Utah Valley Hospital on Thursday, Feb. 27, and had surgery on Friday. He is beginning to recover at this time. father returned home from A his usual day at work in the fields and found his small son sitting on the front steps looking unhappy. Whats wrong, son? he asked. Just between you and me, the lad replied confidentially, I simply cant get along with your wife. PUBLIC AUCTION SADDLES and February Saturday, 22 Carolyn Christensen and Mary Ann Duncan gave their mother Louise Rees a surprise Birthday dinner at Carolyns home in Ephraim. Attending the dinner was and Karl Carolyn Christensen and son LaMar. Ann Duncan and Mary daughters Jeanne, Tammy of Manti. David, Louise and Roger Rees Newell and Eunice, Myrtle Rees of Wales. Bert and Zola Ruesch of Mt. Pleasant. Raymond and Ona Anderson came early in the day. Sunday evening Forest and Virginia Christensen of Moroni and Raymond and Ona Anderson came to visit because they could not come to the dinner at Carolyns. Tuesday Janell Harris from Aurora. Marie Christensen, Eunice Rees, Ona Anderson and Mary Ann Duncan and Jeanne and Tammy of Manti were guests to Louise for a luncheon. They all had a lovely visit. Kirk Christensen, son of Marie and Rex Christensen participated in the wrestling contest at Heber City on Feb. 21st and 22nd. He won 4th place in the 132 lb. class. The Christensen family went to Sandy Thursday night and spent the weekend with Rex's sister Joyce and her husband Alberta charge. Prayer Rees. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thomas are happy for Che safe arrival of a baby girl Sunday morning in Salt Lake born to Marlene and David Robbins. The baby weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. and has a big brother Ronnie to welcome her. Lawrence and Lois and their son Reed and his son Shawn went up on Sunday to see the baby and her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Anderson w ent to Salt Lake Sunday to see their grandson Craig Anderson baptized and confirmed a member of the L.D.S. church. Craig is the son of Maurice and Josie Anderson of Salt Lake. Clinton and Merlin Walker and Marilee, Sonya, and Tyler of Lyman, Wyoming spent the weekend with their sisters Theo and Douglas Lamb and Mathel and LaRay Anderson. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Dye were their two daughters Mrs. Miriam Hansen and 5 children of Centerfield. Their other daughter Kathy and David Martin of Granger visited on Thursday. They came to attend the funeral services in Moroni for Kay Livingston. Mrs. Decima Jacobsen and Mrs. Mae Wright of Nephi visited on Monday with their aunt Mrs. Vivian Dye and other relatives in town.
