Show September 5, 1974 The Mt. Pleasant Pyramid rage Six FAIRVIEW Fairview was a hive of activity this past Labor Day weekend with residents visiting and being visited. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Mower visited Grantsville on the Monday with an old missionary companion of Mr. Mower, John Clark. Dr. and Mrs. Morris Mower who reside in Farron, Utah and who stayed over night with Mr. and Mrs. Glade Mower, took them to Grantsville to spend the day with the Clark family. They played six games and won four which gave them a third place standing. Their record for the entire season was 30 wins and only five losses. The Duane Marsh family who have lived in Fairview for the past eleven years, moved to Greeley, Colorado, this last weekend. Karl is a graduate of Utah State University and is currently working at the Employment Security Office in Manti. Their daughters ages range from o to 1 years of age. Wendy is their oldest with Carolyn following, 6, then Jennifer, 3 and last comes Lana who is 1. The Kelley family chose Fairview to live because they liked their new home and because they felt Fairview would be a good town to live in. Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Cox have recently returned home after spending a month with their son, William Bill Cox and his family in Fairfax, Virginia. While there they enjoyed visits to the historic Smithsonian Institute, Washington Monument, Mt. Vernon, Gettysberg in Pennsylvania and Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. They had several outings with their family and also in friends visited Warrenton, Virginia. They both claim Virginia to be one of the prettiest States in the United States. An interesting and unusual shower was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Anderson last Friday night. The shower was given by Susan, Eris and Karen Anderson in honor of Jane Hansen, fiance of Rian Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blake Anderson. This tournament sponsored by the LDS Church attracted 52 teams from the Intermountain Region including Colorado. Over 4,000 teams played off m District tournaments to decide who would travel to Salt Lake. Overall Moroni played six games, winning 4of these for 3rd place. Darrell's efforts gave North Sanpete a recovery on a Dugway fumble on their kickoff. This game the Hawks good scoring position deep in their own territory. Darrell is a Senior at North Sanpete and plays the split end on the offensive. NS Hawks prove victorious Draperies The North Sanpete Hawks were awarded the victory in their opening game against Dugway last Friday night. The full moon was not enough light and the game was called at the half due to the power outage that covered the Sanpete, Juab and Utah County areas. The Hawks scored their only touchdown in the first quarter on a 20 yard run by Lynn Bagley. The twopoint safety was scored when a Dugway punter was tackled in the end zone. Coach Craig Oliver said he feels the Hawks have a strong defensive but is hoping to improve on the offensive before this Friday's game with the Millard Eagles.
