No one is ever a loser which is willing to try. There were three special parts to the contest: Dribbling, foul pitching, and field goals. In the dribbling contest the boys had to dribble through a patterned diagram, in a given amount of time, and end with a lay-u- p shot. In the foul pitching contest, the boys were allowed five shots, with points for each basket made. In the field goals, there were six allowed, with a bonus, all at marked distances, one being from the top of the keyhole. The boys with the most points won the chance to participate in the March 8 contest in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake, plus see the game, as stated. The three boys winning this were from three age groups age participating: In the group, Bruce Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bailey of Moroni. His grandparents, ! ppy,- - too, are Mr. and Mrs. Russel Bailey . and Mrs. Sophie Bruno, Moroni. In the 2 age group, Gary Larsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Larsen of Ftn. Green. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Vurl Morgan of Ftn. Green and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Larsen of Chester, Utah. The 4 age winner is Jeff Jorgensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Jorgensen of Mt. Pleasant. Lynn Nielson executive director of the Sanpete County ASCS Office. The availability of nitrogen and phosphates is expected to increase by eight percent. Any shortages in farm areas would most likely be due to Mr. transportation Nielson commented. Accordingly, the availability of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers will continue to be under intensive demand and price pressures and farmers may pay out $4 billion for fertilizer in 1974, a 40 percent cost increase over last year, tie-up- s, Night hunt law reminder given Notice of new rules and regulations governing night hunting enforced by the Division Wildlife Resources have apparently escaped the notice of of AND REGULATIONS GIVERNING NIGHT HUNTING ENFORCED BY THE Division of Wildlife Resources have apparently escaped the notice of some Utahns. TheWilflife Board adopted the last November. Night hunters must possess a special certificate of registation available only at Division offices at no charge. The certificates are valid only when used in conjunction with a written permit issued by the sheriff of the county in which the hunting occurs. No other forms of Economists at USDAs Economic Research Service attribute the increase in fertilizers to three sources, Mr. Nielson said. Additional supplies will come from a number of companies that agreed to make 1 Vi million additional tons of five products scheduled for export available to U.S. farmers. The firms also agreed to run their plants at top capacity and to expand capacity if possible. Another source of added fertilizer this season is imports. We are a net importer of urea and some other nitrogen fertilizers, Mr. Nielson added. He reported that a growing worlds needs for fertilizer were part of the fertilizer problem in 1973, but there is some evidence that world fertilizer output is catching up and the tight situation could ease. -- The interstate highway system averages better than 80 percent completed across the nation, and 63 percent in Utah. The Board of Big Game Control has voted to require hunters to wear blaze orange clothing on big game hunts in Utah beginning in the fall of 1975. Statistics in other states show the orange color is the safest for hunters afield, said Division of Wildlife Resources Director John E. Phelps. The 1974 season will be the last time big game hunters may wear the yellow and red shades allowed in the past. Those colors will, however, still be lawful when hunting small game. Complete regulations, in- cluding the amount of blaze orange required, will be announced along with all big game regulations following the Board of big Game Control June 29 meeting in Salt Lake City. hot-lin- 13-1- Gary Larsen will wake up from sheer quietude and then you will know that the Lord has saved you, that may be the day that I give up and cease to speak out. No Im not without words to describe a lazy and apathetic people but there are times when I have been and had to go back to Gods word and the quotes from truly great Americans. Right now I want to mention the word IMPEACHMENT because up until lately the word has been almost taboo like patriotism, America First, Christianity and etc. However when the word impeachment was exhumed, it was for effect, but there are those in middle class America that have been justifiably tinkering with the idea. No! All is not, well in Zion, perhaps because we havent been aware that there are such words and that they have an important impact and meaning in our lives. Another important word is VOTE. This word means people power and so does PETITION. We have the power, let us use that power now! Of course if we cannot get attention of the people that it is they who should be running the government and especially in this case our State Government then perhaps we should find some way to IMPEACH the people. Sound silly to you? Well, not really, take Cal Sunderlands National Vacation for instance, that seemed silly too until the leak in a conversation to a friend e and in got on a News, less than a week it was nationwide. Arid Id say, its not a bad idea. People were awakened to the fact that they were not running the government any longer, as was intended in the first place, but the government is and has been running the people and since we have been asleep, government has grown so big that it can give you anything, and when it gets big enough it can take it all away from you like it was done in Russia, communist, Red China and any other country under the communists, that is total government. If you will but look around you, you will see that we are of following the BLUE-PRINRoman History right down the socialistic road to SLAVERY. Dont kid yourself! As surely as you read this, you can depend on it. That is the reason that, one after the other, our rights are being taken away, UNDER THE GUISE of course, of doing all these things that are supposed to be (good for you) since the people have had their right to own and manage their own property taken away from them by the governor and except for a few, they have done nothing about. Surely when an official not only fails to function in favor of the people that elected him and since, has violated his oath of office, which is treason, it is my opinion that he should be impeached, tried and if convicted, receive the sentence prescribed by law. Since the majority of the people have not (yet) felt the pinch, sufficient to stir them to The Mt. The first is a complete break with tradition. It is an in- novators revolutionary idea. The second can follow either of two courses: it may take the new idea to its opposite extreme or it may reject the new entirely and return to the old. The third is a step of combining the first two. This is the one that contributes most to the advancement of any field: it takes the best of each, giving the discipline an extended body of information. Consider ideas about teaching.
