Show SPRING CITY resident's brother dies Local i t i ATHENE OSBORNE Victor L, Dahis, Mt. Pleasant, received word of the death of hi3 bro ther, Herbert C. Dahis, 70, of natural causes, September 12, 1970 in Greensboro, Md. Funeral services and burial were in Annapolis, Md. Victor (Frenchie) Dahis had spent the past five years with his brother and sister-in-lain Maryland, before returning to Mt. Pleasant this year. The Variety club members were the guests of Mrs. Shirley Black at her home Wednesday evening. The evening was spent in doing handiwork and playing games for prizes. Winners were Bernice Erickson and Catherine Christensen. The guests were Herta Strate, Bernice Erickson, n Mrs. Edith Brough and Zur Brough spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Brough here. She is presently visiting in Bountiful with her son Zur. Ethel w WaL Funeral services conducted for W. V. Sanderson Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Fairview North LDS Ward Chapel for William Vernon (Vern) Sanderson, 82, of Fair-viewho died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1970 in the Sanpete LDS Hospital in Mt. Pleasant after a stroke. Mr. Sanderson was born on Oct. 3, 1887 in Fairview, a son of James and Margaret Reese Sanderson. He married Mary Peterson on June 18, 1913 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a retired farmer and sheepherder. Survivors include his widow; daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Melba) Brotherson, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. w Irene Nielson, Fairview; 10 grandchildren; 19 sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Maggie Bell, Richfield; Mrs. Loa Stewart, Fairview; Mrs. Calvin (Juanita) Christensen, Mrs. Eldon (Melba) Payne, all Provo; and Mrs. Stella Stewart of Phoenix, Arizona. North Sanpete High School students Leslie Allred and Guy Blain from Spring City who recently returned from a three week trip to New York City to attend a youth tour of the United Nations Building and assembly Mrs. Wallace Muir, Virginia, Deanna and Mark. They purchased the school building and have remodeled it into a lovely home. They are now moved into it. Mrs. Vivian Dye returned home Sat. from a visit at Melba, Idaho with Rita and Dee Bradshaw and family. She spent Sunday afternoon at Moroni with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dye and family. Services were under the direction of the North Ward bishopric with Bishop Keith S. Hansen conducting. They were pleased to tour the history making places of interest. Leslie and Guy were two of five from this county and joined about one hundred and fifty from the north western states. The scholars were sponsored by the organizations of Odd Fellows and Rebeccas Order. Leslie is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Allred and Guy a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gorden Blain of this city. At the recent Sunday LDS Sacrament Services the baby girl uf Kenneth and Peggy Strate was blessed and named in- accompanied by Wayne Tucker; tribute, Betty Jorgensen and Elaine Mitchell; speaker, Ted Mower; vocal solo, Norman E. Brunger, with recitation by Donna Brunger, Koleen by accompanied Peterson; speaker, President A. J.' Anderson; remarks, Bishop Hansen; hymn, combined choir; benediction, Ervin Brotherson; prelude and postlude music at the organ by Koleen Peterson. The grave was dedicated by Lawrence Larsen. Bishop Pallbearers were Allen Mitchell; Junior Gardner, Jerry Hansen, Floyd Peterson, Bert Rasmussen, Randy Nielsen and Glen Cox. Sunday afternoon visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Reid H. Allred were Mrs. Keith (Maurine) Allred, Howard and Karen Allred recently returned from LaPaaz Bolivia. Howard and Karen will continue schooling at Utah State University and Mrs. Allred will return to La Paaz to join her husband and family. Wednesday of last week Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Erickson of Logan visited Wednesday with their aunt, Mrs. Finell. ON Kent Mortensen from Salt Lake City visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Vero Aiken. Cook two additional minutes. Blend small amount of hot mixture into egg yolks; return all to pan. Cook 1 minute. (Do not boil.) Remove from heat; add butter and stir until melted. Cover and chill. Fold in sour cream. Combine cabbage and carrot; pour on sour cream dressing and toss lightly to blend. Makes 8 servings.
