For there are those who are criticized because of their efforts and those who are criticized because of no effort. But when diligent effort is coupled with honesty, integrity and the good of society, criticism is hard to levy. This is true of Golden Sanderson let it be said that he loves his fellow man, serves him, and makes each one he contacts feel that he or she is a person of worth and dignity. Mayor Keith S. Hansen who is also a member of the Museum Board conducted the program. It was planned under the direction of Lyndon Graham, Harris Cheney and members of the board. Program numbers included an organ solo by Wayne Tucker; invocation, Kay Ostler; tribute, Anna Jensen; guitar solo, Frank Owen; remarks, Lyndon Graham; vocal solos by Norman Brunger and Pyhliss Tucker. They were accompanied by Evelyn Terry; A tribute to my father by Grant Sanderson; remarks by Golden Sanderson; and the benediction by Bishop Lawrence Larsen. the program refreshments were served in the recreation hall and those atto music by the Fairview Harmonica Band. Others enjoyed a visit to the Museum. Lyndon Graham who has assisted Mr. Sanderson on many of the Museum projects and who has spent many hours devoting his time to the work was also honored at the testimonial. His works in the field of miniatures has been one of the focal points in the Museum. The honor that was paid him wac also a surprise to him. Mr. Sanderson received a valise and Mr. Graham a desk set. Small tokens for the many hours of service they have contributed to the community and to their fellowman.
