This marks the third time in as many years that the First and Fourth Ward Ensigns have represented the North Sanpete Stake in the Zone 25 Tourna- ment. They have won fourth, second and now first place while in the tournament. Team depth and a strong defenset have led the Ensigns to their first 12-- 0 season. Kent Olson, Kenneth Hansen, Paul Madsen, Scott Shelley, Byron Jorgenson and Glade Hatch will add the strength to the team as they now enter the worlds largest basketball tournament. 72 different teams will compete in three divisions. The Ensigns have 32 teams in their division, 32 in the Senior M Men division and eight in the College Ward division. These teams come from almost every state in the United States and also from Canada, Mexico, and as far away as New Zealand. The Mt. Pleasant team will leave Monday, March 11, where they will play the Layton Fifth Ward Ensigns at 7 p.m. in the Riverside Gvm in Salt Lake City. A special thanks must go to those who have supported the First and Fourth Ward team by attending and cheering for them during the past games.
