Curtis; Wed Oct. 28 A : Miss Jeannette Rowe became the bride of Joseph C. Curtis the afternoon of October 28 at the home of the bride's brother-in-laand sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Martin in Chester. Leo C. Larsen, bishop of Mt. Pleasant Second L D S ward, officiated. New Mrs. Curtis is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Rowe of Mt. Pleasant. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Clarence Curtis and the late Mr. Curtis of Moroni. In the evening friends of the w young couple and the families were bidden to a reception at the Martin home. For her wedding the lovely young bride chose a gown of pale blue crepe with an overskirt of metallic net. Rites Set November 8 Jones-Bel- l Maid From Levan Miss Nadine Bendixon of Levan became the bride of John A. (Jack) Sorensen of Moroni, in rites performed Oct. 24 in Manti L D S Temple. Parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Erhart Bendixon of Levan entertained at a wedding dinner for members of the immediate families. Brides roses were used as a centerpiece for the table. A reception that evening for four hundred guests wa3 held at the Levan amusement hall. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Odell Sorensen of Moroni. The young couple left for a honeymoon trip to Hoover Dam, Parks of Southern Utah and Kai-ba- b Mr. Sorensen is the eld-n- u of nine sons and daughters, and all are living. Present for the occasion were Mrs. Annie S. Jensen, 83; Mrs. Maria S. Bohne, 81; Mrs. Carolyn S. Christenen. 79; Mrs. Elmina S. Jensen, 77; Mrs. Malinda S. Neil-so75, and George C. Sorensen, 73. Two sisters, Mrs. Rastus Monsen (Josephine S.) 71, of Bell, Calif., and Mrs. Geneva S. 63, of Salt Lake City, were unable to be present. Chresten William Sorensen was born in Mt. Pleasant November 1, and 1863, a Bon of Chresten He Christena Jensen Sorensen. attended school here and at the Brigham Young University, where he is a member of the Emeritus Club. lie taftght school in Mt. Pleasant for 15 years, part time serving as principal. Mr. Sorensen has been promin- ent in civil affairs and in the activities of the Church of Jesus Saints. He Christ. of Latter-da- y has been a state legislator, served as city councilman, recorder, as-- 1 sessor and collector. He has been a member of the North Sanpete Board of Education, president of the Mt. Pleasant Library Board and president of local irrigation companies. He served for many terms as conciliation commissioner for Sanpete and Juab counties in the courts of the State of Utah. Mr. Sorensen filled a special mission to the Manti Temple In 1889 and 1890.
