Red Cross Continued from Front Hospital is served by Red Cross and our emergency hospitals of Utah Valley and Payson are served by Intermountain Health Care. This has caused many conflicts in the past with East Millard residents in taking care of their blood needs. Much effort has been put forth in the past several months to relieve this situation. It has been difficult but some progress has been made. Red Cross and Utah Valley Hospital (Intermountain Health Care) have agreed to experiment with a joint draw in Fillmore May 11. The success of this draw can work toward an end to a long feud as well as benefit our community. The units gathered will be divided evenly and those gathered by Utah Valley w ill be set aside for use of East Millard residents. This will replace the present need for patients to replace the blood used in Utah Valley Hospital, Paysqn Hospital, and any other Intermountain Health Care hospital. We cannot emphasize too much the importance of full stake and community support in this draw. We proved last December we could pull together as a community and we have a more important cause to work for in this coming draw. We cannot only take care of our local hospital blood needs but also the blood needs of every community member used outside of our county. We can show to Red Cross and Intermountain Health Care that we can pull together as a community and that they can work together to better serve the communities of the state of Utah. Thank you again for the past performance. We appreciate all of you very much! Is that so? Answer- It's true for broil- ing and roasting, and for some baked goods like casseroles or baked potatoes. Generally, though, the quality of baked cakes, goods pies, etc. will be better if you need the higher preheat: they heat early in the baking process.
