Show SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES Following are the minutes of the Board of Education Meeting held August 16. 1979 in the District Utah. Office, Delta, Meeting convened at 2:00 p.m. Members in attendBcrtis Frampton. President: Robert L. Harris, Vice President: Leoyd Lovell. Member: Jack M. Nelvtn. Member; David L. The President of the B jard called the meeting at 2.00 p.m. The C'erk was directed to call tl.e roll which indicated Board Members shown above were present. Nelson made a motion to approve the above salary schedules, seconded by Member Lovell and ear made a motion to approve ned unanimously by the Members of the Board. Administrative ' salary schedule was reviewed at this time. Member Nelson made a motion to approve the administrators salary schedule as figured from the teachers schedule for the 1979-8school year for the base salary and using the 78-7Administrators salary schedule, seconded by Member Lovell and the voting was as follows: Member Nelson. Aye. Member Lovell. Aye. 0 9 Member Christensen, Aye; Member Harris. Nave. The superintendent's salary was reviewed at this time. Member Lovell the Superintendent's salary at 6.53 percent plus insurance and travel expense. increase seconded by Member Christensen and carried unanimously by the Members of the board. The Clerk of the Board of Education's salary was reviewed at this time. Member Harris made a motion to approve the clerk's 7.89 percent approved. The salary for the Maintenance Supervisor salary-increas- and School Lunch Supervisor were reviewed at this time. Member Harris made a motion to approve the Maintenance Supervisor's salary at 11.08 percent increase and the Lunch Supervisor's salary at 9.47 increase, these increases seconded by Member Lovell and carried unanimously by the Members of the Board. was held Discussion concerning the early retirement for Lynn Talbot. Member Harris made a motion to approve the above early retirement for Lvnn Talbot, approved unanimously. Member Harris made a motion to revise the budget for the school year 1979-8and schedule a Budget Hearing for August 30. 1979 at 8:00 p.m. in the District Office in Utah and the Delta. Budget should be prepared on an asssessed valuation of S36.344.349, seconded by Member Lovell and the voting was as follows: Member Harris, Aye; Member Christensen, Member Lovell, Aye; Aye; Member Nelson. Naye. A letter was presented to the Board of Education from Superintendent Talbot concerning the proposed designated wilderness areas and the inclusion of school sections within those areas. The next regular Board Meeting will be held on September 19. 1979 at 9:00 a.m. in the District Office, Delta, Utah.
