Farmers with e crops of wheat, barley, corn or grain sorghum must file their intentions to participate during the signup period to be eligible for deficiency and disaster payment protection and be eligible for price support loans on all crops except sugar. The requirements for 1979 of the planted acreage of are: of the wheat and barley and 10 planted acreage of corn, with an option for 10 additional diversion for payment. Payment would be $1.00 times the established yield times the additional diverted acres. Total planted canacres of NCA crops, plus not exceed the farm NCA (Normal Crop Acreage allotment). Participation in the program is a two-steof intentions process: Sign-ufollowed by certification of acreage. June 20 is the deadline for certifying planted acreage. If you are undecided about the program, you may wish to sign up now and then have until June 20 to decide if you want to carry through with the program. This could be good insurance in case of a natural disaster between now and then. The program is designed to prevent an excessive buildup of wheat and feed grain stocks which ultimately results in low market prices. If you are unsure about how many acres you have in your field, or part of a field, why not let us your fields before you plant, and certainly before you destroy crops to get into compliance. With you are assured of an accurate certification. The cost of this service is a modest $12 per farm, plus 104 per acre measured. Stop in at the local ASCS Office for more information regarding these programs. and how they can fit in your farm plans for the coming year. p set-asid- March of Dimes Davies, Millard County Mary K.
