But that is just half the problem story. Mavbe could make a deal with the government where they would pay me not to grow alfalfa in my living room and I could use the money toward a spring cleaning effort. They might move us and the furniture out to the driveway so as not to spoil the ecology of the mud, seeds, and the spiders. Running a household can be such a chore. No wonder some of us women want to toss the apron and head for the business world. vv 1 1 1 1 1 I 3 by sue had such a nice surprise when I went to take a bath last night. I had suggested to Lewis that if Gypsy was to continue to be a house dog, she had to change deodorants and he very sweetly hauled her to the bathtub. Well, she had some objection to bathing on Mondays and we now have a know black bathroom. Great Danes arc big. but how can she shed so much hair without becoming totally bald is beyond me. If she didnt have such a delightful bark might lose my patience. Last Monday had a most delightful surprise waiting for me when I got back from lunch. Edwin, one of mv boys I hadnt seen or heard from in six years, was wailing for me. I was so happy to see him, but I had an awful adjustment realizing that he had left as a little bov and come back as a young man. We had a great time catching up on what each other had been doing the last six years and laughing about some of the fun and problems He we had when he lived here. in would we better promised keep touch in the future. Having lewis around makes me fed old enough, but having the little noses used to wipe turn up all grown up really puts on the age, and then Edwin told me that Arlene and her husband now have five little boys.
