All fat lambs and fat hogs must be owned and tagged with a Stock Show tag by All March I, 1978. animals tagged for the show will be checked by membe of the Livestock Show Committee to insure that tagging is done by the deadline. All tags will cost 50c each and may be obtained from FFA instructors, county offices or write to Show Secretary. Fee is necessary to cover cost of tags. An entrance fee of $1.00 per head on sheep and hogs and 52.00 per head on cattle will be charged on all animals entered in the Show. This fee must be pid at the time the animal is brought to the show. An auction SAVINGS BONDS fee of $5.00 pe head on beef and $2.00 per head on hogs and sheep will be deducted from the exhibitors check on all animals sold at the auction. As of January, 1978, it is suggested all steers weigh a minimum of 650 lbs. and all heifers weigh a minimum of 550 lbs. At the time of the Show the weight limit will be 1200 lbs. on steers and 1000 lbs. on heifers and this will be the weight AFTER the shrinkage has been taken. The weight limit on hogs will be 190 lbs. to 240 lbs. The limit on lambs 85 to 120 lbs. Any animal sifted because of under or over weight will be graded in the class by themselves and they will be sold according to the class that they are graded. No sifted animal will be able to for Grand compete or Reserve Champion Grand Champion classes. Any sifted animal may be removed from the Show up until the judging of that class is done. No entrance fees on sifted animals will be refunded after they are entered, if they are removed from the Show. Exhibitors will be limited to three (3) single entries in each class, except beef. There will be a limit of two (2) entries in beef, and there must be at least four animals entered to make a class. There will be no breeding hog classes in the Millard County Junior Livestock Show for 1978. A new rule allows 6 for fat hogs and tags lambs, 4 tags for beef, giving exhibitors a better chance to get their limit of fat animats to show. They can choose and take their best to show.
