While they were there, Bobs only aunt, his fathers sister (Metta Phillips Bickers) also died suddenly, so were able to attend her funeral services. Brant Melvin George, Whitaker, and wives, Karen and Lorraine, attended the State Convention of Young Homemakers and Young Farmers at the Hilton Hotel in S.L.C. on Feb. 4. They also enjoyed the banquet there that evening. A special Merri Miss event was held on the evening of Feb. 3, in the form of a Daddy-Daughte- r party. The two ladies in charge of this fun time were Teresa Adams, the A leader and Nelda Turner, the B leader, which consisted of a delicious banquet; Program where the girls presented their fathers with a carnation. Then each girl was presented with a corsage. The highlight of the evening was the girls got to dance with their dads as their special partner. Those enjoying this evening were: Dean Perkins(represen-tin- g the Bishopric) and his wife Cheri, John and Teresa Nelda and Keith Adams, Turner, and the following and their dates: girls Lynn Perkins and Sylvia, David Hatton and Sue Ann Pikyavit, Bishop Bill Turner and Katie Johnston, Scott and Shirley Watts, Maynard and Mary Rasmussen.
