Last Thursday a very serious case of seif pity set in with little hope of a cure in sight. Just when the case had progressed to the point of "no return, the phone rang, and there at the other end of the phone in S.L.C. was Daila with an emmediate cure, although she was not aware of the patients malady. Would I like to go with her to St. George for a few days and enjoy the scenery and warm sunshine? A friend of Dailas had offered to let us stay in her beautiful new condominium in Bloomington. Needless to say the cure was instananeous. To any one such as I, who has been used to going to a meeting at least once a day, to suddenly be confined to the house for nine weeks, unable to even waite on ones self, because of not being able to bend the knee, Dailas offer was a real gift from heaven. The only way I can ride in a car is to sit with my back propped against the window, and have both legs occupy the back seat of a car, and unless the one seat of the car can be pushed clear to the front of the car, I cannot get in a two-docar. Thus vou see. am a real problem! attitude makes in the way we look at What a difference ordinary scenes. Although I have been over the road to St. George countless times, the scenery has never looked more beautiful, the cedar trees, the many different tones, tints and shades to be found in the scenery, even the animals seemed to be more attractive than usual. We stopped in Washington for a short visit with my nephew and niece, Col. Dwight and Sylvia Huntsman, who have been in Fillmore for the past two months in a trailor home, but when the real cold weather came they moved to a warmer Education Miss Utah Charm OOur Town NUMBER TWO 7.95 ....L I I I I V A;.;': ; i 5 |
