FRANKLY SPEAKING Bill A world of violence.. a world of beauty T.V. today is going down so rapidly one can search all channels to find one decent program. It seems all they can program is a world of violence when there is really so much beauty to see. It leaves one wondering what is happening to us as people when we continue to watch such tripe and trash. How many cop and robber programs do we see each week? SANTA TO ARRIVE The first book "Torpedo Run" was about the men who manned the PT boats in the South Pacific. The cast of characters were well placed by author Robb White. You found yourself actually living out some of the missions of the men who went nightly into battle aboard the boats. An easy and fast book to read, finished it about 3 in the morning. Oh I'm a night person. I come alive when everyone else sleeps. Amazing what you can accomplish when you arc alone and have the whole night to enjoy. PINK LADIES HAVE BUSY TIME CAR CRASH 18. Hirschi, Debra Mrs. and Mr. of daughter Burrell Hirschi of Fillmore, was critically injured in a car dav Thanksgiving crash in St. George. Utah was the Hirschi family Thanksgiving spending with his mother. The accident occurred when the car the girls were riding in hit a slick spot in the road and crashed into a bridge abutement. Also riding in the car were Debra's sister Anita who received a broken two other collar Jione Top Row, Left to one receiving cousins, abrasions and lacerations and the other one a skull fracture. All were hospitalized in St. George and then released after treatment except Debra who was transferred to Sunrise Memorial in Las Vegas, Ncv. Her parents have remained with her since accident. the After months of moneythe activities. making Fillmore Pink Ladies have contributed the fruits of their labors to the Fillmore Hospital for payment on the ncwlv redone lobby. The new lobby has given the hospital quite a face lift. The Pink ladies have recently also purchased a nice selection of toys for the pediatric patients to make their hospital stay more pleasant. Curtains are also being made to spruce up hospital rooms. The most recent moneymaking project, a quilt drawing, proved a success. Peterson was the winner and was thrilled with lur gift. She will be able to select her own fabric and size of quilt and the quilt will be quilted by the sudor Citizens. We the greatly appreciate Senior Citizens for consenting to help by giving of their time. A lovely display case has been' hung at the hosital to sell donated articles. Velma Jackson. Day.
