Show Howell Matures by Virgie Kan osh Kapers KAN'OSH Two happy occasions attended by Sheridan and Prows: July 6, Mr. and Mrs. Sheridan Prows attended the wedding of their grandson, John Prows. He was married to Linda Couther in the Salt Lake Temple. A reception was held that evening in Bountiful. July 9, the proud grandparents attended the wedding of Barbara a granddaughter, Prows. She was married to Timothy Hill. Blackfoot, Ida. and was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Their reception was held that evening Fay-met- ta in Blackfoot. July 10, an open house was held in Rexburg, Ida. for these two couples. This was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Prows parents of half of each of the newly married couple. Prior to the two receptions, Arlene Prows Stewart, oldest sister of the newlyweds gave a bridal tea for the two brides-to-b- e in Orem. In spite of the destructive flood in the Rexburg area, and the extensive damage done to the Prows home, the weddings were a joyful occasion. Following the receptions, keys to Yellowstone Park cabins were give the newlyweds by friends for use as honeymoon cottages. Occupying the former Earl and Maria Whitaker farm home, Hatton, are Darnell Anderson, Steve Stott's new hired man and his wife Hilda. We are happy to have this couple taking an active part in our Ward. Sacrament meeting Sunday was conducted by Ron Boran. Invocation by Max Call Announcements: Rey Huber is in Room 234, Utah Valley following Hospita', surgery. Kirsten Whatcott is a new member of the Ward, being baptized July 4. Activities for the July 24 celebration at Adelaide were announced and Ynclucfe Pro gram, barbeque oeci UlM sports, ball games and dance on open air in the evening. Following the Sacrament service, Tony Bradfield sang a solo, accompan ed by Cheri Perkins as did F'atsy Robison, accompanied by Gladys Robison. ' Speakers were Don Rasmussen, and Allison Robison, from the High Council. Invocation by Don Rasmus- sen. Norma Paxton spent part of last week in SLC with family members. While there, she accompanied daughter-in-law- , Colleen; grandson Gail and wife to the Manti pageant. Lynn Perkins and family have purchased the Owen and Melba Staples home. They are at present occupying the Offie Rogers home. We were happy to have Tony Bradfields parents (the Prices) among the visitors at Chruch Sunday. Clay Price large crowd of friends and relatives attended the impressive funeral services for Clay Price, husband of Nora (Whitaker) Price, July 15 in the Kanosh Ward. All of Noras brothers and sisters and their spouses except John Sorensen were there. Most ot them came from Fallon, Nev. Glen Whitaker and wife Lilly and their baby son, accompanied Jarold and Peggy Sorensen from Fallon, by plane to Pinedale, Wyo. t where they sang two numbers at the services there Wednesday. veral relatives from the Tooele area came to Kanosh. All of the Prices children, except Marvin and Raymon (who attended to duites at the Wyo- ming ranch) were to the ser- vices in Kanosh. Family prayer: Dennis Sorenson. Invocation by Charles Whitaker. Organ music by Beverly Christensen. Other musical numbers by the choir and a solo by Max Whitaker accompanied by sister Bernice Sorensen. Pallbearers were Charles, Lee, Joe Price; Charles, Kent and Melvin Whitaker. A Proud Parents. A son was born July 7 at the Delta Hospital to Arthur and Clella (Watts) Fleming. Weighing in at 8 lbs 3 oz, he will be named Vinton Jar-ro- d Fleming. Visiting at the Willard Whitakers have been their children John, Janet Barton and Parowan: two daughters, Anita Higgs, Tooele. They came for uncle Clay s funeral. KANOSH NEWS Emmett; Katherine Staples and family were proud of their daughter and sister Gavla in Marie, who graduated June, from Utah State University. She was the Valedictorian of the College of Agriculture. When the Dean introduce Gayla, he said she was the first girl in the history of the University to be Valedictorian of Agriculture. It had nothing to do with womans lib; she had really earned it. She graduated Magna Cum - Mrs. Carl (Faun) Guilette and children, Leadore, Ida. are here with her mother Fauntella Robison. Carl will come for his fami,y the end of this week. Phillis Johnson and Estelle Bennett have come to be with their mother several times the past week and to visit with their sister Faun and family. F1SHLAKE EMPLOYEE GETS PROMOTION Ron Dickemore, Range Conservationist on the Fillmore DELEGATES Ranger District, has accepted the position of Supervisory Range Conservationist on the Bly Ranger District, Fremont National Forest, Bly, Oregon. He will be reassigned to the Fremont Forest on August 2, 1976. Ron has been employed in several capacities by the Forest Service since 1962.
