Allison Robison is the onl incumbent to seek he Independent Party of Fillmore held a convention for the purpose of nominating candidates to run for City Councilman. The men chosen to run for this office are: Dr. I.. Wayne Reid. Millard Jr. Sr. High Principal and Duane 0. Bartholomew, owner and operator of Duane's A.G. he Independent Party feels that they have two men who will represent the people of Fillmore fairly and conscientiously. They are family men, have maintained homes here for several years and are well qualified to help make tiie decisions that arc needed to keep Fillmore growing and prospering. A new era has arrived in Fillmore polities. Finally a choice can be made when the citizens of Fillmore go to the polls on November 4 to vote for city councilmen to represent THEM. The age of 'stuffed ballots' is over for anyone interested enough to look into the available candidates and make a sensible choice, not simply an X over a particular heading, but a CHOICE, a decision as to whom will represent the PEOPLE, not a certain factor or group. It is up to YOU. the voters of Fillmore to see that you make a wise and well thought out decision at the polls. Citizen's day was held Tuesday at Millard High School. The Senior Citizens of our area were honored at a dav of school and activities. Tuesday morning the Senior class and Pahvant History Club picked up our guests and brought them to school. Then an assembly was held in their honor which was followed by classes in which our gues's went to a class of their choice. Following the assembly we all met together with Superintendent Topham to discus the new bond issue. It was followed by a luncheon prepared by the school lunch ladies.
