However to many, Including this wlrter, U was a special occasion which helped to make life more meaningful. Shortly after my brother Ceorge, his wife I.t. Chlora, his son and daughter-in-la- w, Col Dwight and Sylvia Huntsman arrived the day before tho hunt opened, we joined the gatherlrg of the clan on the new drlvway over at Blaine and Helen Huntsman's, just diagonally across the street from my home. This was Syllvla's Introduction to some of the descendants of Lon and Nell Huntsman, sons, grandsons and even great grandsons were on this hunt. Blaine heads the list with sons Blaine Jr., Jon and Clayton; grandsons Lon, Scott, Jon Jr. and Peter. There Muro-de- an was Harold and Ills son Raymond. was represented by her son Stephen Bunker. Afton has two daughters and neither of them hunt. Dollio (Florence) Meeks had her two sons Jim and Jonathan on the hunt, but she stayed with her mother to help wait on the mighty hunters. Her son David was here last year but was on his honeymoon this year which did not Include hunting. Scott was unable to be here but was represented by his son Mark who has been living with Grandmother Noll and Aunt Afton while he helped Uncle Blaine build his two-c- ar garage. Jon and Blaine Jr. had several friends with them not so much to get a deer, as to get away from the every day stresses of the competition Involved In earning a living. What a delightful visit we had with these stimulating relatives, leaving us with a warm feeling of togetherness. Although I have two sons, Vance and Tom (Day), and seven grandsons, Gary, Vance's son, Tom Leo and Richard (Tom's sons), Dick (who Is now Dr. Richard W. Paxton), John, Pat and Bobby Paxton, not one of them came for the hunt. Last year, the snow came early and stayej on the ground which made It impossible to gat our gardens plowed. After huinas has been added and the soil Is plowed In the fall, the winter frosts crumble the big lumps, aerate the soil, leaving it loamy and friable, making tt possible to grow superior products. I never have worked more diligently and had less for my efforts than I have had this year, do to the fact my garden was full of hard lumps caused by spring plowing. No wonder 1 am hoping this storm doesnt last, but the beautiful fall weather which has graced the deer hunt may now continue until we are ready for snow. and 2. 3. 4 Sec. 84831.
