Lena Freeman was happy to have her sons here for the weekend. Dr. Jan, wife Gayle Ann and son Richard plus Jay and Shelly, all of Salt Lake came. Glen and Nedra Nelson, Salt Lake City, were guests of his mother. Nettle Nelson during the holidays. They took her to Cedar CUy Sunday and spent some time at the cemetery here. At Nellie Huntsmans home were Merodean (Mrs. Owen) Bunker and son Stephen, SLC, M rs. Paul (Dolly) Meeks, Alta-den- a, Calif, and Alton Schwartz who lives here most of the time. There are eight children In the family and they each take turns hosting the reunion. This the Roy year, Olpln family was In charge and they chose to follow a theme Olpln Olympics which added to the fun for everyone. The day started Monday at 6: 15 a.m. with a short Memorial service near the gravesite of their parents In' Pleasant Grove, following that the entire family went to Linden Park which was rented dor tne aay. breatuast was served to 115 with at least 170 for dinner. Games and contests of all kinds had old and young participating. All of Roy and Arlene family were there Including Owen, Larry and Eddie, wives and children, but excepting Roger who was represented by hts wife Sharon and the children. A reception will be held In their honor on Friday, June 9th, In the Sclplo Ward Cultural Hall. Joan Is a graduate of Utah Slate University with a degree In elementary education. While attending U.S.U. she affiliated with Angel Flight, Alpha Sigma Mmomrf o and Chorus. She was also chosen as an attendant to the 1971 U.S.U, Junior Prom Queen and Delta Phi Kappa and attendant to Dream Girl. Steve participated on the U. S.U. freshmar.footbaU and track teams before serving an L.D.S. mission to southern Texas.
