The theme of this year's convention was "Survival of the American Farm." Three of thG highlights of the convention were the All Utah luncheon, the "Young Farmers and Ranchers " luncheon, and the Annual Banquet. Guest speakers this year were Mrs. Virginia Smith, Chairman of the AFBF Womens Committee; Dr. Max Wallentlne, Assistant Dean, College of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, BYU: Dr. Doyle Matthews, Dean, College if Agriculture, U. S. U.; and Mr. Allen Grant, President, California Farm Dureau. Jan Turner was chosen as outstanding young farmer and rancher of te year. He was awarded the use of a new pickup truck for one year and an paid trip to Chicago for the National Convention. Miss Evelyn Payne, daughter of Dean W.
