of the board issued S a supplemental statement I 1 in in which he calls attention to th alonce alence of measles and pneumonia and makes recommendations for the tile care of patients afflicted with those diseases disease i and precautions against the spread read of the disease dibease the total number of deaths in D cember wab m ten deaths were received rece ce ived too late to bo be included in the november bulletin the total of scarlet fever cases was with nine deaths smallpox forty eight cades cases with one death diphtheria and brane ous croci croue cases and fourteen f I 1 our deaths typhoid fevel seventy seven ca cases s es with fousteen fou iteen deaths whooping cough cases with no deaths measles 2809 cases with nine deaths chicken chickenpox pox seventy three cabes pneumonia 3 measles the record v t two 0 deaths next with cases but no deaths in salt lake county there were cases case two deaths A remarkable disclosure is made by a reference to the bulletin for december 1906 when nhen there were all told in utah only cases of inea measles and only one of these in salt lake A year ago fifty cases of scarlet fever were reported the latest bulletin chows shows a total of 1817 cases of which were in salt lake tv twenty renty nine nine I 1 in utah and ten in weber the number of smallpox cases is less than for the corre jing period in 1906 the figures being forty eight a immediately be sent home hom e the apparent mildness of the attack by no means proving that the case is is not one of diphtheria or I 1 scarlet fever feer aggravated symptoms symptom i of a cold i and be excluded from school it is recommended commended rop in addition to the quarantine quat antine of all 11 cases of measles that no member 0 of the family shall be permitted to attend school during d
