Those 13 companies work out to a rate of 5.7 per 1 million residents, said Ryan Clancy, spokesmanfor the magazine that unvetled the list this week in a special issue. The ProvoOrem area has six companies on the list, which works out to a rate of 18.4 per 1 million residents, making it the metropolitan area with the highest numbers of Inc. 500 companies on a per capita basis.
