SYKES The Salt Lake Tribune When announcing the new president of Brigham Young University in March, LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley referred to the friendly rivalry between the University of Utah and BYUbysaying Cecil Osborn Samuelson Jr. would takeoff his old red coat and put on a new blue one. The former University of Utah student, faculty member and administrator has donejust that.
