Twenty years ago, Hinda Miller and Lisa Lindahl were jogging ai the University of Vermont. They realized something was wrong. “We were running and our breasts were bouncing,’ said Miller, a costume designerat the time. “We knew there had to be a better way. We went to a local bra store and asked for a sports bra. They didn't know what we were talking about. Lisa and I tried to make a sample bra but nothing seemedto work. “Then, one night after dinner, Lisa's now ex-husband cameinto the living room and pulied a jock strap out of the laundry hamper. He held it to his chest and said, ‘Look! The study foundthat a large majority of women expe- rience breast discomfort while exercising. Because they do not knowwhereto seek advice, manyeither suffer in silence or stop exercising altogether.
