It is a prosperousplace, complete with pricey restaurants. expensive shops and well-dressed people. Thewalled city of Dubrovnik is located on the Adriatic Sea along Croatia’s DalmatianCoast. With its. mild temperatures andbeautiful architecture, Dubrovnik is popular with northern Europeans. Cypress. pine and olive trees are abundant. Lemonandorange groves, aromatic flowers and plentiful vineyards add to the c attractivness. The Old Townsection todaylooks as spectacular as I remember. I had visited Dubrovnik 17 years before when it was part of Yugoslavia. The medieval wall surrounding thecity: the long narrowstreets with their manysteepstairs: the red-tile roofs; and the monasteries. nunnery and churches — theystill were in place.
