By Josephine Lowman In spite of all that is now known about superfluous hair I still receive many tetters from women wanting to know what to do about it The problem of superfluous hair is so simple in most cases! Hair on the legs can either be banished with a depilatory or with a razor I do not believe that shaving the legs makes the hair grow in any faster or thicker It does leave the ends stubbier than a depilatory does because the latter melts the hair So far as hair on the arms is concerned I think that for this reason a depilatory is best Hair oh the chin? If you have a few pet hairs which persist in appearing use the tweezers and use them as often as necessary If you have fuzz on the upper lip use cosmetic wax These are all temporary measures If you wish to rid yourself of the problem of superfluous hair permanently you must resort to electrolysis which is the only method of permanent re' moval I have written often about electrolysis Then I receive letters from women saying that they spent time and money on this and then the hair came back just the same This is not possible if you had a operator because the hair root is killed with electrolysis The reason for this misconception is apparent taken for granted you had an operator who was well trained The dis- tribution of hair is dictated by the glandular setup No doubt the operator did kill the hairs you had but new ones appeared afterwards If you do not want to bother continually with those hairs which trouble you then have them removed permanently with electrolysis On the other hand do not feel “put upon” if ypu have to tweeze a few hairs on your chin or use a depilatory once or twice a week on your legs or arms After all all improvement has its price and the one for ridding yourself of superfluous hair is small Get rid of It one way or anotherl well-traine- d Tooele Godwin Mr and Mrs Joseph Mogus Sr of Louisville Ohio are the parents of the benedict-elec- t The couple will be honored at a reception in the evening Airman Mogus has served 3V2 years in the US Air Force spending one year in Korea The couple plans to make a home in Tooele for the present bliss Hansen is stationed with the Air Force at Connal-l- y AFBT Mr Waco Tex Godwin currently 1500 I500 30° 300 6' 8 10 ’ 12’ Site 8: DresS arid ul - Of interest in Salt Lake City is news of the engagement of Airman 3C Nancy Fern Hansen daughter of Mr and Mrs John E Hansen 911 Couple Discloses Wedding Date The date of Feb 24 has been selected by Miss Barbara Marie Wilson and Garth Macdonald The couple will exchange vows at the Reception Centre Oscar J Harlin president of the Grant LDS Stake will officiate Mr and Mrs Murrlle S Wilson 1179 Iris Ln parare ents of the bride-eleannouncethe nuptial making Alpha Iota Sets Skating Party Alpha lota will meet for an ice skating party Thursday at Hygeia Rink at 8 pm After skating they will go to the home of their sponsor Miss Iris Irons 775 Harrison Ave for a chili supper Committee in charge is Miss June Cleverly Mss Marcelyn Hammond Miss ct ment is a The bridegroom-elec- t son of Mr and Mrs Alick Macdonald of Vancouver BC Sharon Crockett VALENTINE SPECIAL Italian Donkey Carts Italian Attractive colorful with Carts hardy plants planted Donkey or arranged with FRESH CUT FLOWERS hand-painte- d $349 regular For sufferin£ of $450 perfect' gift or novelty for any home Call us today Fr$e delivery A W Send flower 1 by Wire Anywhoro HUDDART FLORAL CO 30 South Main Phono 84 I ConBolero 3 yds yd trasting Send 35c in coin (no stamps please) for Pattern with name address style number and size Address Pattern Bureau The Salt Lake Tribune 652 Mission St San Fran35-i- 35-i- n n cisco Calif INCLUDING WOOL JERSEY mademoiselle9© WHY NOT MAKI YOUR OLD F1EJMP RINGS OVER bit bMirti W nWwmn to ta fit YOUR tnw-lityT it at daitffl ttiata far yaa NORMAN EERNDT JEWELRY 27 lost 2nd South Inspired by the Paris Couture — our slender sheath shoe with nary a hint of stifehing to hide the moulded throatline serenely s6ft ADVBRTISSMSNT 6 Doubles Her Salary in Weeks hand that can be learned Mariana in iHinchdiff six weeks 2559 Mon- roe Boula- vard Og I den Utah bols or machines Scores of men and women in this area have stepped up from dull futureless jobs to positions with more pay and opportunity through Speedwrit-In- g at Henager ihas ly recent-- J doubled jh e r salary There are no sym- supremely flattering Nayy or tan calf inis Rafter a six 1 " Hintht" week course -’)' as secretary with an Ogden real estate firm Previously she was a clerk typist wo RITUXNS OPIN Oi 12 to 9 vmm omsixs f If All FRIDAY 'T HE HOUSE OF FASHION y HR HOUSE STORE ONLY 21 12 HIGHLAND DRIVE j sihHo'r°0of 1 Business that included Speedwriting She is now employed : k "I enjoyed so Henager much I got my husband to enroll there — for accounting" said Mrs Hinchdiff You too can improve your present position with Speed- writing the easy ABC short- - 111 it I A Naw Clo I Aftaa4 ftnuiiii Spaadamhaf la any aafa a ISanfay at 7:M a Maa4ay tin fn8ay I “ ' aiHat abliyaltaa pa ® fj??
