| Show A NEW LAUNDRY this week alar mgr starlus has his plant going in the new building on the west nest side of main street which lie he erected during the past summer with the move mr lias has installed several new machines and added improvements that makes his plant thoroughly up to date and capable of doing work of as high standard as any laundry in the state the machinery includes 4 washers 2 wr vr ingers which do the work by cen force never tearing or mutilating the clothing 2 st archers 5 electric heated froneus ironers iro ners man mangel el and other devices which come in for use in ironing and shaping collars the washing will be done in the basement which has been partitioned off into four rooms the largest bing b ing tho the washing room leading oft off from the room ia the drying room ch z I 1 is s fitted ui up wi with f ch s steam te am ap pp pipe e c coils 0 i as on the sides and an electric fan overhead which will serie sene to keep the hot air in circulation thus drying the clothes quickly and evenly the ab shop 01 for making repairs and tile the coal room are aso also located down stairs on the top floor all the ironing and parcel packing will ue oe done the building is so arranged that the office is on the street grade and front from the office a short stairs leads down to the wash room and another short stairs leads up tip to the ironing department the arrangement is such that splendid ventilation can be had over tile the entire building as well as light all ail the basement windows ate aie above the ground and by raising raisin them or opening the back door a draught of fresh air can be kept circulating in tho the room all the time just above the mangler mangier a largo large suction electric fan has been installed which takes up all the dampness arising from the clothes and blows it out of doors mr is certainly ceita to bj bi congratulated for his enterprise in establishing tab lishing such a splendid modern laundry in our city such institutions help materially the growth of a community and there Is no reason to doubt that mr will reap real handsome dividends on his investment in the years to come |
