Show THE BOTHERSOME RULE. By Gerald Hammond. Thcrcs a bothersome rule that has entered our school, Which says we can't talk, laugh, shout, or fool; Or, if we do, the office we travel And after an hour we could play in the gravel. Three boys only have taken that walk . As was the result of, a short little talk, Dwight, the bright-eyed, Hurbcrt and me ' Made up the bunch of the talkative three. If twice you went down you'd get "canned" from school. And such was a part of this bothersome bother-some rule. Oh! myl It is so hard to keep 'still all clay And not have a chance to sit here and play. |
